In Conversation w/ Shannon Hurley

In Conversation w/ is a new interview series where I will be talking to friends, acquaintances, and people that I admire on social media or IRL. This series celebrates people doing the damn thing and crushing life. I want to share your story with anyone who wants to listen. My first guest is Shannon Hurley, she has been living out her dreams abroad in Valencia, Spain for the past two years teaching English and traveling the globe. We talked about her program and how she made it all possible, what life is like living abroad as an American in your 20's, and what her plans are upon her return.

We all need to be allies and have those uncomfortable conversations. We are not free until we are ALL free.

Why Turning 25 Feels Different

Turning 25 may not seem like a big birthday, but it certainly feels different than in years past. We have been conditioned to believe that everything you want in life needs to be accomplished by the time you're 30 or else it will never happen. That could not be further from the truth. We are all on our own paths on our own timelines, but turning 25 made everything feel different. It felt like the pressure was on, especially in the age of social media. New and Confused discusses reflecting on the past year, enjoying birthdays, and how to not let the stress of not having it all get the best of you.
